Visiting Bikepacking Belgium in Antwerp
On our trip to Antwerp, Axel and I visited Thomas, the owner of Bikepacking Belgium, a specialist dealer and outdoor expert focusing on Velotraum touring bikes.
On 16 October we visited Oxford (oxfordbikes.be), a Belgian bicycle manufacturer we have been working and developing with since 2024.
It was great to see how Oxford works, from assembly to painting. This helped us better understand individual process steps, and we are feeding these insights directly into our product development. That matters all the more because the Belgian market has a few particularities compared to our home market.
The current model year is complete, and thanks to good planning we are already in production. For model year 2028, the next step is to integrate the topics and processes we discussed.
We are delighted that the model is being so well received, and we are tackling its further development with plenty of drive. Stay tuned!
Antwerp felt like a small journey through time. Beautiful historic buildings meet the modern present, and the city is a creative place, as if made for innovation.
That's exactly why we were there: at Classified, known for its Powershift hub for road bikes (classified-cycling.cc), we had the chance to test a new component that is still in development. On a test ride through the city we put it through its paces, and got to know Antwerp as a true cycling city along the way.
Our impression: the component surprised us, convinced us and is truly exciting. We can't reveal more just yet.
It's great to see innovation like this happening here in Europe, in this case "Engineered in Belgium". More of this, please!
Our summer team event took us to the Bogenland this time.

Strong location, honest speaker, clear message. It's not just about delivering or winning medals. It is about consciously using one's own strengths and dealing with weaknesses smartly.
In about ninety minutes, there were plenty of impulses. For me, one thing in particular sticks. Clear focus in everyday life is decisive. In competition, in pitch, in customer meetings. The one centimetre more makes the difference.
Afterwards a relaxed finale with good conversations, appetizers, drinks and a suitable ambience.
In short, an evening that has a lasting effect.
We spent a good ten days on the road in China and then at various locations in Taiwan.Es it was extremely valuable to be on site again in person, to visit and audit the ongoing productions and to have a direct exchange with the suppliers.
We were able to gain numerous impressions and take away valuable input.
Some manufacturers have made targeted use of the quieter production phases of recent years to optimize their processes and invest in new machines and modern technologies. Considerable progress was made by upstream suppliers, especially in the areas of casting, forging and hydroforming. This is reflected, among other things, in the production of sophisticated, complex and increasingly organic component geometries.
We recently had the opportunity to test a selection of Juit dishes as a team.
Preparation was very straightforward, and we generally find the concept of bringing healthy meals to the table quickly convincing. In terms of taste, however, the dishes we tested did not win us over across the board — opinions within the team varied.
Nevertheless, we would like to thank Juit for the opportunity to try the dishes and wish them continued success in further developing their offering.
